Nature Writing For Wellbeing Circle 2024-25

How about writing through the seasons, in supportive company? With biscuits and cake? 

We'll use inspiration from nature and the spring to summer transitions to prompt reflective writing in a range of forms. This is all about slowing down, noticing our inner and outer worlds and enjoying time outdoors.  The benefits of both time in green space and writing are well documented for wellbeing: a perfect combination for creativity and personal discovery.  

The circle is facilitated by Gayle Johnson, a writer and group facilitator with lots of experience running friendly, creative sessions. The focus will be on letting the writing happen, rather than developing 'creative writing techniques' and critiquing each other - whatever you write is right for that moment!

You do not need to 'be a writer' to be part of the circle - our mantra is 'you can't write it wrong'. It's all about seeing what happens and doing something for you in a beautiful setting.

These sessions gave me a huge sense of accomplishment, despite there being no pressure to be good, or share anything we didn't want to. 

There are 10 sessions running monthly from 9.30 -11.30 on Tuesday mornings (no sessions in January or August). The 24-25 season dates are:

Individual sessions are available to book at £25 or pay as you can. As this is about developing a writing practice through the seasons, priority for places will go to people who book the block.
